Those with a non-fashion degree will find it difficult to compete with fashion graduates and will therefore need to study a postgraduate fashion degree. The range of perspectives in project management studies are analysed both in theory and in practice. The application of theories is enhanced through the use of case study examples in the public, private and third sectors, encompassing an analysis of project management in a range of organisational structures. Emphasis on knowledge in this area is extended further to the criticality of the project manager’s skills in managing the range of both internal and codecoda external stakeholders. As such, this module will draw and build on student’s knowledge previously acquired through responsible leadership, entrepreneurial, finance and people management modules. You will then learn to apply these techniques to areas of the fashion industry such as branding, advertising, fashion media, marketing, visual merchandising, events, public relations, retail environments and colour and trend forecasting.

The university has computer facilities across the campus, however for study beyond the campus a laptop may prove useful. Students will devise, negotiate, plan and disseminate a substantial piece of research and develop outcomes in relation to innovation, ideas and concepts. Supported by mentors, students will research and develop an original idea and transform this philosophy into a project or entrepreneurial venture. Students explore commercial and philosophical concepts and formulate a relevant plan.

The outcomes from this, and the availability of appropriate placement and academic supervisors, will determine whether students can proceed with this module. The fee for a single credit is £77.08 and a 15 credit module is £1,156. Part-time students can take up to a maximum 90 credits per year, so the maximum fee in a given year will be the government permitted maximum fee of £6,935. Remember, you don't have to pay any of this upfront if you are able to get a tuition fee loan from the UK Government to cover the full cost of your fees each year. They will research the importance of adopting the triple bottom line, i.e. planet, people and profit, to ensure the long-term success of the business and future well-being of society in line with the UN’s SDG 12. This module aims to provide a foundation for students to develop their understanding of marketing research methods for academic and professional purposes. Students will explore a number of areas of marketing research including; the use of both primary and secondary data; an introduction to quantitative and qualitative research; and creating research samples.
